The Study Programme
Hello
everyone, how I have told you in the last blogs, I ‘m studying Forestry at the
University. This career has have changes in the Study Programme and this is the
topic of this blog, what is my opinion about this Study Programme.
When I
decided to study Forestry I thought that I will learn everything about plants
and how is the conservation of the natural recourses and biodiversity, but now
that I’m in 3th year of this, I realize that exist a lot of subject that I
don't want to learn, for example I have a subject about the resistance and chemistry
of wood; honestly I am not interested in learning from this and all my
classmates think the same than me.
In my
opinion the new Study Programme have very few subject about the topics that
really interest me, just have two subjects related directly with plants, like “CICBAE”
and “Crecimiento y Desarrollo de árboles”, others about the ecosystems and biodiversity
but a lot of subject about math, economy, marketing and how much wood you can
extract of forest. Other negative part of the Study Programme is that teachers just
show us examples of pine and eucalyptus, the opposite is you find conserve the
ecosystems.
The good
things are the field trips, when you are outdoor you can practice all that you have
learned in class and you can know how forests work.
I want to
finish the University soon and dedicate me to a topic that I like
What about
you? Tell me in a commentary…
I think that we have to develop the topics about native forest and for get pino and eucalipto.
