Nº6 Changes to my study program


Today I will write about my study program, this has six semesters or five years to become forester and now I am in the last part of this. About the program I would like to make a lot of changes, because I have some subject that I do not understand why I have to learn.

In my opinion the new Study Programme have very few subject about the topics that really interest me, we just have two subjects related directly with plants, like “CICBAE” and “Crecimiento y Desarrollo de árboles” others about the ecosystems and biodiversity but a lot of subject about math, economy, marketing and how much wood you can extract of forest, and this last is what I don’t like of this, I can’t see forest, plants, animals like “things” that you can make money with this. When I decided to study Forestry I thought that I will learn everything about plants and how is the conservation of the natural recourses and biodiversity. Other negative part of my Study Programme is that that teachers just show us examples of pine and eucalyptus, the opposite is you find conserve the ecosystems.

The think that I like of this is that I can learn how the forest work, his dynamic and species and how is the relation with people-nature and a lot of other things that is why I am here. Now I want to finish this career as soon as possible and I want to forget for some time the Universtiy because I’m bored of the studies.

A country I'd like to visit

One of the things that I really like to do is travel, and choose only a place to visit is a very difficult work to me, the oportuniy to know new places, landscapes, cultures, people, is a exepcional experience.  The country that I wish to visit since I was a child is China, because I think that it is a very different country comparated with Chile. Post graduate Studies

Hello everyone, today I have to write about my postgraduate studies, I think that it is so far away, but actually I am in 3th year of forestry and in two more years I will have finished. At the moment, I’m not clear about what kind of postgraduates studies I want to do, but is certain that I want to continue my studies and specialize me in some area, as I can’t know all in this short life J I would like to study abroad, in Europe for example, because people here have another way of seeing the world, especially in the care of natural resources and biodiversity. So, my plan is find a job in Chile and work for some time, and when I save a little of money, get a scholarship abroad and take some course. When I am done, I would like to go back to Chile and share whit all the people what I learned and I can do in my country that the ecosystems are really valued. My future job

Hello bloggers, in this blog I have to write about my future job. Now I'm studying forestry at the University and at least for now I would like to study the symbiotic relationship between plants and fungi and I would want to find a job in this area. I imagine working outdoors knowing Chile and surrounded of wonderful landscape. In my career the topic about mushroom isn’t considered very important, so I had have to learn it by myself. In my opinion the fungi kingdom include important organism that are essentials for the ecosystems. Although exist unidentified organisms and I would like to find some of this. I would want to job in a national corporation or a institute to dedicate to the investigation and give me the oportunity to give all my experience and knowledge to the people.  I hope I can travel around the world and meeting a lot of places, landscapes, people, plants, mushroom and cultures.
